Transat announces May winners of Surprise Dates Contest

Transat has released the names of its May winners for its Surprise Dates Contest in conjunction with its 30th anniversary.

The winners are Sonia Vandermeulen of Caribbean Vacations in Hamilton, Ontario, (Ontario-Atlantic), Louisanna Pettigrosso of Marlin Travel in Regina, Saskatchewan (Western Canada) and Bonnie Latreille of Travel Quest, in Cornwall, Ontario (Quebec and greater Ottawa).

Each winners has won a package for two, including Air Transat flights in Economy class and a one-week, all-inclusive stay at Excellence Resorts.

The prizes were awarded as follows: Beloved Playa Mujeres in Cancun, Mexico (Sonia Vandermeulen), Finest Playa Mujeres by Excellence group in Cancun, Mexico (Louisanna Pettigrosso) and Excellence El Carmen in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (Bonnie Latreille).

Additionally, $30 in Bonbon rewards were attributed to the following agents after a random draw among all participants: Ida Filippelli of Total Advantage Travel & Tours Inc. in Toronto, Ontario and Karen Withers of Maritime Travel in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia (Ontario-Atlantic), Liz Bergin of Ama Travel in St. Albert, Alberta and Laurie Costello of Tier One Travel in Calgary, Alberta (Western Canada) and Danielle Cliche of Club Voyages Fascination in Sainte-Marie-de-Beauce, Quebec and Veronique Thouin of Club Voyages Repentigny, Quebec (Quebec and greater Ottawa region).

To mark its 30th anniversary, Transat will draw at random a total of 30 surprise trips for two this year—three surprises each month from February to November— from among eligible travel consultants in three Canadian regions: Ontario-Atlantic, Western Canada and Quebec (including greater Ottawa).

The draws will be held on predetermined (but secret) milestone dates in Transat’s history.

There is no need to register the reservations since the contest entries are automatically made as soon as a consultant anywhere in Canada sells a Transat flight, package or cruise on the surprise day, the company stated in a release.
